Performance Baseball 15U had trouble keeping up with Nokona Chiefs 16U in an 11-4 loss on Thursday at Cranston Stadium.
Performance Baseball 15U got on the board in the first inning after Giovanni DeCristofaro singled, scoring one run.
Nokona Chiefs 16U captured the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the first after Mark Manning singled to center field, Ryan Spector singled to left field, Connor Hanna walked, and Fionn Connery lined out, each scoring one run.
A double by Manning, an error, and a single by Spector helped Nokona Chiefs 16U extend their early lead in the third.
Justin S stepped on the hill first for Performance Baseball 15U. The starter gave up nine hits and 10 runs (eight earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out four and walking two. Jeffrey Yin stepped on the hill first for Nokona Chiefs 16U. The pitcher surrendered three hits and four runs (three earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking seven.
