When a knee injury during basketball season deprived Norwalk High School’s (CT) Jaxon Ermo of his senior baseball season (he’ll play Division I college baseball at Iona University) he set an example for how to positively respond to disappointment. Jaxon attended every practice and every game during baseball season, while crediting teammates, family, coaches, and his athletic director for their support amidst his setback. A 4.0 student and “community service juggernaut”, Jaxon is described by Norwalk High Head Baseball Coach Ryan Mitchell as “exactly what you want a high school student athlete to be”.
