Ryan Johnson made an immediate and lasting impact on the baseball program, as he was selected as the GNAC Player of the Year in both 2001 and 2002. As a junior, he batted .382 with nine home runs and 49 runs batted in to help the Falcons qualify for the ECAC Tournament for the first time in program history. The 2001 team also set a new program single-season win total that still stands as of Johnson’s induction. The following year, Johnson batted .382 with nine home runs and 49 RBI. He was also a team captain and a two-time All-Region performer.
