INCIDENT SUMMARY:
• 7:20 AM – Prospect: Suspect stole a laptop.
• During the encounter, the suspect struck a Troop L cruiser while fleeing.
• Bethany: Suspect attempted to steal a vehicle, then fled the scene.
• 8:40 AM – Waterbury: Suspect reportedly set a house on fire before leaving the area.
• 9:28 AM: Updates indicated the suspect was no longer in Waterbury and possibly heading west toward New York.
• 9:40 AM: Trooper One assembling at Brainard Airport.
• 10:00 AM – Brookfield: Suspect crashed, fled on foot, and was taken into custody after a foot chase.
SUSPECT:
• Black male, late 20s
SUSPECT VEHICLE:
• 2020 GMC Sierra, Black
STATUS:
One reported in custody.
