Hand Making a Purple Color-Change Sapphire Pendant | Classical Goldsmithing in Palladium & Gold

This post was originally published on Nolan Sponsler - Connecticut Jeweler.

The full process behind the creation of my original NOLAN design. This piece is a pendant in palladium and 18k yellow gold, handmade and hand-fabricated from start to finish. At the center sits a 2.24ct color-change sapphire, shifting between blue and purple, surrounded by a multi-size diamond cluster set in a mixed pavé technique.

This pendant is a study in classical goldsmithing featuring techniques practiced and refined over centuries, executed entirely by hand.
