At all levels of hockey it is important to have several ideas for establishing your presence and creating scoring opportunities as your team rushes into the offensive zone. In this episode, Coach Anthony Giusto demonstrates several effective options for entering the zone. While there are many more options offensive players can attempt to deploy, in all situations the puck carrier must read the defensive set up and react accordingly.
As you cross the offensive blue line, you must know which teammates are with you, where they are located and how the defensive team is covering them. Maintaining puck control and making speed-appropriate, accurate passes will give your team high quality scoring opportunities off the zone entry rush! How is your team entering the offensive zone?
